I think the idea is not to create a permanent outpost, but to create a temporary labor camp. Thank you While self sufficient bases are a nice thought, that would keep the beavers at the distro centers busy ferrying water just to irrigate the area constantly if you haven't developed the terrain to send it that direction. So instead of having to create new separated districts which are a pain to manage with imports/exports, it would be nice to be able to provide them with basic needs (housing, food & water) on another area of the map that would serve as a new base for them. Originally posted by *****:I understand Beavers get tired and cannot travel too far. That means if the number of logs reaches 200 across all of District B, the import trade route will stop. In District B, only a Drop Off Point is needed, set the HIGH number to 200 (as the Log Pile holds 180). That means if the number of logs across all of District A falls below 100, the export trade route will stop until there are more than 100 logs across all of District A. Default is 100.įor example: Logs from District A to District B - only a Distribution Center is needed in District A, set LOW to 100. The HIGH number is the amount of items for incoming trade routes to stop at - the import trade route will stop if the item inventory across all of the district reaches this number. The LOW number is the amount of items to keep in the district - the export trade route will stop if the item inventory across all of the district falls below this number. The Distribution Center AND Drop Off Point control the item limits for the district they are located IN. Here's an explanation on trading from another thread: So I think the best is to go with autonomous and self-sufficient district and use the trade system maybe only for some specific ressources ? Everyone die of hunger because the trade route destroy everything. In about 2-3 days, my first District threw all the food it had to the second district with only 2 trade routes of food. But the trade system is so complicated, non friendly-user and inefficient, that I dont think it is possible. My goal was to make districts with specializations. I did not make any farm in my second district, because I was focusing this one on water pump, tree cutting and mining. At some point, I had like 4000 foods supply and maybe 2000-3000 water.īut when I separated these warehouses and other thing from the first district with the district gate, added a District center and a trade center, all went so badly from this point. I built my new one with already a lot of warehouses, log piles, water tanks and maintenance buildings (haulers, builders, etc.). I want to know if I'm the only one who struggle really hard with the district game design and the trade system (UI, micro and macro management, trade route, etc.). Well, I'm at the point where I must expand further my settlement but I'm already at the limits of its capacity so I must build new districts.
